Practice makes perfect! In 1887, the builders of the Hotel del Coronado decided to test their blueprints. Before they started construction on the hotel, they built this building the year before, to practice. The blueprints worked perfectly because the building, with its own red turret, still stands. Today, it’s the Bluewater Boathouse Grill and you can step inside to see the craftsmanship. Thanks to Priyanka Haldar for her beautiful photo from Glorietta Bay.
