La Corriente was founded in Tijuana in 2010 by Karim Reza, a Mexican architect. After working for several years in a major restaurant chain in Mexico, outside of Tijuana, he decided to return to his hometown (Coronado) to begin developing this project.
The Coronado Historical Association (CHA) welcomes La Corriente, a new restaurant that occupies the historic museum café space at 1100 Orange Avenue. La Corriente has elevated the dining scene in Coronado with its unique coastal Mexican culinary offerings.
