Coronado Bay Bridge Run Walk

Each May at Tidelands Park, Coronado

  • Rare opportunity to run, walk or rollerblade across the bridge.
  • Proceeds benefit many military family organizations.
  • Registration includes t-shirt, medal, chip timing and prizes.
  • Invite your friends to cheer for you at the finish line and celebrate at the post-race party at Tidelands Park in Coronado.

Holiday Parade, Tree Lighting and Open House

Friday December 6th

  • A beloved tradition that brought our community together in festive cheer. Get a jump on holiday shopping!
  • The tree lighting of the magnificent 120-foot Christmas tree adorned with 18,175 twinkling lights at Rotary Plaza.
  • The parade features over 1,400 enthusiastic participants and thousands of spectators lining the streets.
  • The parade route begins on Orange Avenue and loops at RH Dana and Adella.

Coronado Concerts in the Park

Spreckels Park Through September 1st.

  • Our beloved tradition where family and friends come together for fun, laughter, and dancing!
  • Reserve your space as early as 3pm. No pets, BBQs or smoking allowed.
  • Parking is very difficult, consider walking, biking, rideshare or mass transportation!
  • This event is free, but donations are welcome.
  • Most concerts begin at 6pm but check link below.

Motorcars On MainStreet - April 27. 2025

At Isabella & Orange Avenues

  • Over 400 pre-73 restored classic, rod and custom cars & trucks. The event will be held in downtown Coronado, one block from the beach, at Isabella & Orange Avenues.
  • Live music and drawings throughout the day. Thousands of spectators are expected and viewing is free.

Coronado Flower Show - April 18-20

At Spreckels Park

  • A spring tradition since 1922, the Coronado Flower Show is the largest tented flower show in the U.S. and fills most of a city block in the beautiful San Diego beach community of Coronado.
  • This two-day event includes landscape displays, a variety of floral competitions, educational lectures and demonstrations, live bandstand entertainment, food, beer & wine garden with locally crafted beers, and shopping.

Coronado Island Film Festival

Throughout Coronado Island November 5-9, 2025

  • Our four-day pedestrian-friendly festival offers a slate of more than 80 films cultivated from a diverse selection of genres, plus compelling panels, lively workshops and of course, parties!
  • Coronado’s perfect weather and close proximity to Los Angeles made it a favorite go-to spot for Hollywood pioneers such as Mary Pickford and Charlie Chaplin, followed by the likes of John Wayne, Billy Wilder and Marilyn Monroe. Most recently, Tom Cruise filmed scenes for ​“Top Gun: Maverick” in Coronado.
