The Hotel del Coronado has made “The World’s Greatest Places” list. Time Magazine just honored the newly-restored resort for it’s 138 year legacy. The Del is one of three California-based places on the list which includes hotels, museums, parks and other must-visit destinations around the world.

The magazine said it narrows down the list of 100 “extraordinary destinations” by soliciting nominations from its correspondents and contributors, as well as an application process. Among the list of must-see destinations is a palace in India, a lookout spot in Idaho and an upscale resort in Tokyo. California, a state in itself revered for its beauty and ideal weather, has three destinations in two different categories on the prestigious list.
