New CORONADO Landmark Unveiled

On Friday, August 21, Coronado's Rotarians, their guests and civic dignitaries gathered to witness the dedication of a remarkable centennial gift from Coronado Rotary to the citizens of Coronado: the new CORONADO sign at Tidelands Park.

A man and woman stand by large green CORONADO letters near water, with boats and a long bridge in the background under a partly cloudy sky.

It is notable as the first signature sign located on San Diego Bay, making it both a landmark for residents and an attraction for visitors. Truly a gift from Rotary of Coronado. Already a popular backdrop for photographs taken by guests and locals alike, the CORONADO sign is expected to become an enduring icon of the city’s waterfront.
