Coronado Island Recognized in National Magazine

Sunset Magazine 2026 Travel Awards named Coronado as one of their Coastal Classic destinations. The competition was fierce, which makes Coronado's honor all the more remarkable. From bucket-list resorts and road-trip-worthy motels to thrilling outdoor experiences, destination restaurants, and small-town surprises, Coronado is among the best of the best.

Only 13 destinations earn the honor of Sunset Magazine’s “Coastal Classics” category. In their awards issue Sunset says “Coronado boasts a historic charm, plus a relaxed and highly-bikeable personality. The iconic Hotel del Coronado sits as its crown jewel, but the real magic is in wandering the quiet neighborhoods and undisturbed stretches of sand.”
